AUSTRALIA BORN TO TRY AT EUROVISION

Australia will return to the Eurovision song contest this year thanks to support from the Albanese Labor Government.

National treasure and global icon Delta Goodrem will represent Australia in Vienna, Austria performing her original song ‘Eclipse’.

Australia’s attendance is enabled through funding from the International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund, which supports our global cultural engagement to increase access to international audiences.

The International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund showcases talented Australians and their projects to the world, and each year it also supports our entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Quote attributable to the Minister for the Arts, Tony Burke:

“Eurovision uses geo-blocking to prevent anyone from voting in their own country for their own artist, but that doesn’t mean we can’t help. Any Australian who’s travelling or has the phone number of anyone else in any other country, you know what to do.”

The 2026 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to take place from May 12, with the final being held on May 16.
