STATEMENT ON TRAVEL TO INDONESIA

The Minister for Home Affairs, Immigration and Citizenship, Cyber Security and the Arts Tony Burke, will travel to Indonesia from 21 to 23 October to co-chair the 12th Ministerial Council Meeting on Law and Security and the 7th Sub Regional Meeting on Counter Terrorism and Transnational Security.

These meetings will bring together senior Ministers and officials from both nations to discuss our partnerships on counter terrorism and violent extremism, cyber security, civil maritime security, people smuggling and irregular migration.

During the visit Minister Burke will meet with a range of counterparts across his portfolio responsibilities.
