WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

The Stronger Communities Programme funds small projects that will deliver social benefits in communities across Australia. The program provides grants for community projects to strengthen and benefit local communities and is part of the Government’s 2026-27 Budget Initiatives.

Grants are available to community organisations for funding between $2,500 and $20,000. You should read the Grant Opportunity Guidelines to find out if your project is eligible and to understand what we require of you if you are successful.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS

  1. Complete this EOI submission by 5PM Wednesday 14, October to be considered by the electorate’s consultation committee.

  2. If your organisation is nominated for funding, you will be notified by the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources on behalf of your MP and invited to apply.

  3. You will be required to register in the grants portal and complete an online application form. Being invited to apply does not guarantee that your application will be successful. All applications will be assessed by the department for eligibility and completeness.

  4. If your grant application is approved, you will be notified by your MP and will be issued a grant agreement by the department.

WHAT TYPE OF PROJECTS MAY BE FUNDED?

Eligible activities are listed in section 5.1 of the Grant Opportunity Guidelines and must directly align with at least one of the specific program objectives outlined in the table on page 11 of the Guidelines. Please read the Guidelines carefully before submitting this EOI.
